William E. Cullen
William E. Cullen was educated at the United States Naval Academy (B.S., 1962), graduated from University of Washington Law School in 1969, and was admitted to the bar in 1969. He was on the editorial board of the University of Washington Law Review for school year 1968- 69. Before starting private practice in Olympia in 1973, Mr. Cullen was law clerk for Justice Orris Hamilton, Washington Supreme Court (1969-1970) and served as an assistant attorney general for Washington State (1970-1972).
Mr. Cullen has been in private practice in Olympia from 1972-2009, more than 35 years. In addition to his practice, Mr. Cullen served on the Thurston County Planning Commission (1973-1975) and taught classes in real estate law at South Puget Sound Community College for a number of years. Mr. Cullen has been a member of Washington State Bar Committees, including: the Civil Rights Committee (1971), International Law Committee (1973-1975), Board of Bar Examiners (1975-1979), and the Washington State Board of Continuing Education (1987-1990). He has served as an arbitrator in the Thurston County Mandatory Arbitration System for more than 25 years.
Mr. Cullen practices with Cullen Palmer Law Office LLP in the areas of real estate, land use, business and estate law. He has also agreed to serve as an arbitrator or mediator when selected by private parties and their attorneys.
